Cancer Model Development

The CMDR-GEMMs Core is the “General Contractor” of Model Development for Cancer Center members.

We provide consultation with genetic experts, access to resources, and supportive project management, facilitating the creation ofnew cancer model systems using a full suite of genetic manipulation techniques and model development processes. Further, our project management services support the use of genetically engineered mouse cancer models, which may be particularly useful those JAXCC members who have limited experience or capacity for modeling cancer in mice in their own laboratories.

The CMDR is supported by NIH Grant No. P30 CA034196. These services are limited to Jackson Laboratory researchers and investigators only.

PI will make model available to the GRS Repository for general distribution upon publication.

CMDR-GEMMS provides consultation and project management. PI will cover the cost of all services used for model creation, colony development, and phenotyping. The CMDR-GEMMS core does not have funding for these activities.
