No two breeding projects at JAX are the same. From small, simple crosses to large, multi-generational, multi-allelic projects, we have remained at the ready for researchers supporting continuous scientific progress. The resulting mice are delivered in a high-health status (Specific and Opportunistic Pathogen Free) and at the age, sex, and genotype of your choosing to ensure the highest rate of reproducibility for your study. At The Jackson Laboratory, we are committed to maintaining the highest animal care and health standards across all our mouse colonies. All JAX® Mice are bred and maintained in specialized barrier facilities that are categorized based on the specific organisms they exclude. Our clinical medicine and pathology programs are integral to our mouse health management strategy such as rigorous cleaning and disinfection protocols for animal rooms and equipment and ensure a pathogen-free environment as well as evaluating the pathological effects of newly identified gene mutations. The Diagnostic Program is dedicated to ensuring the health of JAX® Mice from importation to shipment.
