Our Campuses & Communities

There are four JAX locations in Maine. Researchers in Bar Harbor use mouse models to investigate the genetic causes of human disease. Our Ellsworth campus provides the global biomedical research community with JAX® Mice. The Maine Cancer Genomics Initiative in Augusta enables access to cutting-edge cancer care. Our Portland location convenes scientists and other skilled experts while building partnerships to facilitate data driven discovery worldwide.

Our Farmington campus is home to The Jackson Laboratory for Genomic Medicine. Researchers here focus on human genomics, complementing our long history of mammalian genetics expertise. 

Our Sacramento team is dedicated to providing JAX® Mice and extensive in vivo, cancer and stem cell services to the pharmaceutical, life sciences and medical research communities throughout the western United States and Canada. 

JAX Japan provides researchers in Japan, Korea and Taiwan with direct access to the highest standard of leading-edge animal research models as well as services, technical support and scientific expertise. 

The Jackson Laboratory’s locations in Beijing and Shanghai empower the China research community with access to JAX® Mice, localized support and services.
