Infectious Disease Research

We have a longstanding and successful program investigating the basic biology of immunology, with a focus on the genetics underlying immune system function and autoimmune disease. We are now expanding our efforts to look at immune response to microbes, including pathogens and symbiotic microbes within our normal microbiomes. The effort will also include vaccine development and other applied translational research.
