To support local sales and service to international researchers, we have authorized certain organizations to import and distribute JAX® Mice. For a list of these organizations, please see below.
CHARLES RIVER supplies some higher-volume, authentic J strains to regional markets in Europe, Scandinavia, the Balkans and parts of Asia. Through this cooperative agreement, Charles River serves as our exclusive commercial breeder of many popular JAX® Mice strains, as well as our exclusive commercial distributor of imported JAX® Mice strains. Only JAX® Mice strains bred by Charles River are equivalent in genetic quality to those bred by The Jackson Laboratory and, as such, they may published as “J” strains.
