Student Programs

Join peers selected from educational institutions across the country for professional growth and career exploration. As a JAX full-time or part-time student intern, you have access to a dedicated mentor in your department as well as the opportunity to connect with fellow interns through JAX-sponsored activities.

The Roux Co-op program is a six-month program designed to provide Roux Institute/Northeastern University students with practical experiences while working alongside JAX subject matter experts.

JAX offers integrated educational programs for high school and undergraduate students including academic year fellowships, STEM-focused scholarship programs, and our Summer Student Program—a ten-week summer research fellowship in mammalian genetics and genomics.

Summer Associates will have a broad range of responsibilities from across the Legal Department and will receive meaningful projects that reflect real-time legal issues and problem-solving. JAX is a participating member in the Maine Diversity Summer Associate Program for law students who are members of historically underrepresented groups in the legal profession.

The Comparative Medicine and Quality (CMQ) team at JAX offers 1-3 week externships where externs work closely with the JAX veterinarians and veterinary technicians to explore the field of laboratory animal medicine.
