The Jackson Laboratory is commemorating a decade of transformative cancer care for the Maine Cancer Genomics Initiative (MCGI), a ground breaking patient care model that has revolutionized cancer diagnosis, treatment and prevention for patients in rural settings.
Founded through a bold philanthropic investment, MCGI launched in 2016 to bring the benefits of precision genomic medicine to rural healthcare providers and their patients. Now, MCGI is partnered with every oncology practice in the state of Maine to expand access to biomarker testing, expert case review and precision oncology trials.
Grounded in Maine and built to scale, MCGI is demonstrating that geography should never determine the quality of care a patient receives — and that life-changing progress is possible when science, community and philanthropy work together.
Please join us on October 14 to honor a decade of hope and a model for what's next.
As we look ahead to expanding this model nationally through the next decade and beyond, we invite you to join us in shaping a future that will touch every community. Your partnership helps fuel a movement where access meets excellence and together, we can open the door to the next decade of hope.
