Lorin obtained her Ph.D in Human Genetics from the University of Utah. She joined JAX in 2006 as a post-doc in Kenneth Paigen's lab. After completing her post-doc, she worked for Bar Harbor Biotechnology where she managed the lab and learned the business side of science. She returned to JAX in 2016 as part of the Preclinical Services team where she managed the operations for many years. At the Rare Disease Translational Center, Lorin works closely with its Study Directors. Her background in science, business, and operations allows her to support the business needs of the team, so the subject mater experts can focus on their research.
