Lorin Roiphe, Ph.D.

Senior Program Manager

Leads business support to enable seamless collaboration between JAX scientists and diverse research partners.

Lorin serves as Senior Program Manager for the Rare Disease Translational Center. With nearly two decades of experience bridging science and business, she supports the RDTC’s study directors by managing business and contract needs. Her passion lies in helping scientists focus on discovery while ensuring patients and families benefit from accessible rare disease research.

Lorin earned her B.A. in biology from Connecticut College. Lorin then studied human genetics with focus on the mechanisms of translational recoding in mammalian systems at the University of Utah for her graduate work. Lorin pursued postdoctoral work at JAX mapping chromosome 1 recombination hotspots before transitioning to Bar Harbor BioTechnology, Inc. as a Senior Scientist. Since joining JAX in 2015 as an In Vivo Study Director, Lorin has progressed from Program Manager to Senior Program Manager, to Associate Director of In Vivo Operations, to her current role as Senior Program Manager.
