The 2025 Women X Women event featured vibrant discussions about aging and the immune system, genetic testing and the impact of cancer research on patient care. Our award-winning scientists and panel of experts also touched on the power of clinical education for health providers and on the need to devote proper attention to women’s health in biomedical research. Mary Dickinson, Ph.D. is the executive vice president and chief scientific officer at The Jackson Laboratory (JAX). She leads JAX’s research enterprise, overseeing scientific strategy and operations to build on JAX’s unique strengths in genetics and genomics. She is responsible for recruiting and retaining faculty, overseeing and seeding new initiatives and collaborations, and planning and executing the research capital budget.
